A beautiful, black plum color, Beaulieu Vineyard’s 2022 Touriga Nacional is delightfully
expressive and true to varietal character. At first redolent of a summertime bramble patch,
scents of blackberry, tart blueberry, and crushed violet perfume the glass and sweeten into
a dark fruit parfait. Fresh acidity carries bright red fruit flavors to the fore on the palate,
where raspberry, currant, and warm, baking spice notes combine and then fold into a
delicate vanilla meringue finish. Medium-bodied with silky tannins, this wine is very
drinkable now and can be enjoyed on its own or with a charcuterie board and tapas.
